Once you have identified a dog you are interested in please complete our application form. This gives us all the information we need to determine whether you are likely to be a good match for the dog. Please note we will request a video tour of your home/garden, ID and landlords approval (where appropriate) in advance of our virtual homecheck.

We are a very small team meaning we only have a limited number of homecheck slots each week. For this reason we ask that you are ready to adopt immediately after completion of the homecheck (which can happen in as little as a week). If after the homecheck you are not ready your application may be cancelled. If you have a holiday planned in the next few months or need time to get ready for a new dog (secure your garden, complete home decoration etc) please state this on your form so we can appropriately prioritise. Please consider only submitting your form when you are 100% ready to take your new dog home. Thank you!

We do not allow visiting dogs on site and are unable to facililitate dog/dog meet and greets. We encourage dogs meet in calm and neutral environment in a managed fashion as short meet and greets are not an indicator of how dogs will get along on term. Check box to show you agree and understand.

Saving & Rehoming Strays is a pro-life organisation and does not support euthanasia unless advised by a veterinarian. You agree to contact the rescue if euthanasia is being considered (especially for behavioural reasons) BEFORE proceeding unless you cannot due to emergency reasons. You also agree that the rescue may speak to your vet to discuss treatment options and where an alternative to euthanasia is an option the dog will be transferred back into the care of the rescue if the owner does not wish to continue with alternative treatments (tick to show you agree).

I agree that the dog remains the property of SRS UNTIL a fully signed and completed contract is received.

I agree to contact SRS if my circumstances change or the adoption/fostering of this animal does not work out successfully, in order that we can endeavor to find an alternative home for the animal (tick to show you agree).

I understand that some dogs may have not lived in a home and will need time and careful handling to help them settle. I understand that upon confirmation of the adoption I will be responsible for all vets fees (including for neutering) unless otherwise agreed with the rescue. If fostering the dog SRS will cover vets fees when discussed and agreed in advance.

I understand that I will be required to complete and adoption contract and there is a nonrefundable adoption donation of £500 (unless otherwise agreed) except for DIRECT ADOPTIONS where the preparation costs and transport costs must be covered in full) and I agree to pay any fees immediately upon request. Adoption fee is NOT a payment for you pet but a donation to support other adopted dogs in our care.
